Parenting & Rides...

So the other day I hear a puppy barking like crazy in the alley behind our house... so Adam & I look out there and it's the momma dog with one of her puppies totally terrorizing a rat. It was really funny to watch (at first)... The dogs were terrified of the rat and the rat was just as terrified of the dogs... Eventually the rat died (so that was pretty gross), but it was pretty funny to see the dogs... (OK, so maybe this wasn't the best idea for a blog post....)
I took a couple of pics in traffic the other day... thought I'd share... this guy (below) was taking a smoke break at the red light... (You can't ride a bike and smoke very well...)
These guys were delivering presents... One guy was standing on the back and making sure that the presents didn't fall... the other guy was taking a cell phone break at the light (you can't ride a bike and talk on a cell phone very well)

So, I know this hasn't been the most exciting blog post (I'm just now really getting out of the house again), but Adam did a blog post on stuff on the street the other day and it has some fun pics! Check it out: http://www.southasiarolls.blogspot.com/

Killing rats...a timeless lesson in parenting. What do you think was in those gifts?

Glad to see you are out and about, taking pictures and making comments. When you really think about it, killing rats is a good skill to practice with your kids. There are all kinds of rats out there that they will meet in there growing up years and after. They do need to know how to kill them in their life.

In Germany, it's illegal to drive and talk on the phone. In fact, there are over 600 different traffic signs here, so I think our culture must be the exact opposite of where you are living. Oh yeah, the only rat I"ve seen here? It was very small and being very efficiently chased by a good German cat, who I"m sure cleaned up after herself in a timely manner. Love the photos and glad to know you are feeling well enough to take some.

Your pictures make me miss India!! (I lived in Delhi for a bit.) So beautiful and such amazing people!

Oh, and I think Indian men can do just about anything while riding a bike... and I think I've seen them do it... yeah, we'll just skip of the rest of that thought...

Pregnant in the searing heat and smog of India. That's sounds like lots of fun. ;) Lifting you up.

Campa Cola & Exploring :)

Today we had some things to do in the Central part of our city, so while we were there, we decided to take on some adventures :) Adventure #1 - the underground market. This market is pretty crazy. It's actually underground and has electronics & clothes mostly. They sell things pretty cheap, so it's an interesting place to go. Today we got an 64 Gig flash drive/pen drive for about $5. Crazy hunh? Here's Adam and Aashini in one of the stores. They're all REALLY small stores - about 10x10 feet I would guess (but I'm really bad at guessing that sort of stuff :)) We go here a lot to get things, so I guess it's not a new adventure, but an adventure nonetheless. Before the next part of our adventure (the real part of our adventure) we stopped for lunch. Aashini will always eat at McDonalds, so that's where we went :) They just started selling chicken nuggets here at McDonalds, so it's super easy to get her to eat there :) This McDonald's had high chair

Starbucks!

Starbucks opened in our city last night!!  I'm not a huge coffee drinker... but I was excited about the opening!!  (I think I like Starbucks because of all the green! haha!... Aashini and Diya think the mermaid on the logo looks like me... haha! Maybe it's the weird wavy hair :)... not sure :) ) Anyway, we got there and the line was SUPER long!  The wait time was about 45 minutes!!!  There were so many people there!!!  I tried to get a pic of all the people... (that's why this picture is at an annoying angle... I was trying to get it all in in between the columns :))    Here's Aashini doing a jumping picture!!  The girls tried to do a jumping picture :) haha!  haha!  They had a few spills along the way :)  I never got them both jumping :)  Stuff for sale....  OK, one more because I think they are cute :) haha!  People waiting in line :) Some friends that made it inside! :)  We decided not to wait in line... So we'll

Funny Things - Age Appropriate?
