Recipe Fun!

OK, so I LOVE any kind of sweet yummy coffee drink... BUT the caffeine in coffee makes me crazy hyper and then I come crashing down -- so I tend to be a decaf person :) Anyway, on a friend's blog the other day, they posted a recipe for Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Lattes - so I thought I'd pass it along it is super yummy!! :)

Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Lattes
2 cups milk
1 cup strong coffee (I used 3 T of grounds to make 1 cup)
2 T canned pumpkin (or maybe 3 T of South Asian Pumpkin)
2 t vanilla
Sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves to taste
Mix all ingredients in pot, cook over low heat until steaming.
Onto another favorite of mine... PIZZA!! Our South Asian friends think that Americans only eat Pizza & Burgers :) haha! We do eat our share of pizza :) I was trying to figure out an easy way to make pizza... check this out!
OK, all you need is a can of those pop biscuits (you know the can that pop when you open them?)... Get just the plain biscuits, the sweet ones make it taste kinda weird. Then get any kind of pizza toppings you like (Mozzarella Cheese, Pepperonis, Onions, Tomato Sauce, etc...)
Flatten out each biscuit, add pizza sauce, cheese, and toppings. Bake at 350 for about 10-12 minutes - EASY!
The pizzas were really yummy and fun!!! It would probably be a lot of fun to do this with kids!

I'm going to try the pizza - another great one is to use french bread to make the pizza!!! LOVE IT
Funny to read this, because my girls & I just finished making those pizza biscuits for dinner tonight! We do it in a muffin pan though b/c kids love anything in a tiny-sized cup...and so do I! :)

The pumpkin lattes sound yummy! I'll have to give it a try.
I have to tell you a story from 5th Grade. My teacher, Mrs. Gilbert, was teaching us about the Model T and the assembly line so as a really cool class project we made the pop biscuit pizzas assembly line style. One person made the crust, the next put on sauce, the next cheese, etc. Obviously this made an impression on me since I still remember it :) Enjoy! Also, a note on the coffee, both of my pregnancies have made me averse to the stuff, too. Last time it went away in the 2nd or 3rd trimester. I figure the aversion is probably good for me and my baby in the long run, though....

I am also having a very bad aversion to coffee during this pregnancy and you know how much I love it!!!
I'll have to wait till after March to try this, but we will for sure make some then!!
We've also done the same thing but rolled up the dough to make calzones- fun!

The Pizza looks so good. When I was growing up my mom use to make them with English muffins instead of dough, these were good!
The coffee looked sooooo good, but I promised John for the holidays I would not go to Starbucks, my present to him. I spend way to much money there. HaHa.

Campa Cola & Exploring :)

Today we had some things to do in the Central part of our city, so while we were there, we decided to take on some adventures :) Adventure #1 - the underground market. This market is pretty crazy. It's actually underground and has electronics & clothes mostly. They sell things pretty cheap, so it's an interesting place to go. Today we got an 64 Gig flash drive/pen drive for about $5. Crazy hunh? Here's Adam and Aashini in one of the stores. They're all REALLY small stores - about 10x10 feet I would guess (but I'm really bad at guessing that sort of stuff :)) We go here a lot to get things, so I guess it's not a new adventure, but an adventure nonetheless. Before the next part of our adventure (the real part of our adventure) we stopped for lunch. Aashini will always eat at McDonalds, so that's where we went :) They just started selling chicken nuggets here at McDonalds, so it's super easy to get her to eat there :) This McDonald's had high chair

Starbucks!

Starbucks opened in our city last night!!  I'm not a huge coffee drinker... but I was excited about the opening!!  (I think I like Starbucks because of all the green! haha!... Aashini and Diya think the mermaid on the logo looks like me... haha! Maybe it's the weird wavy hair :)... not sure :) ) Anyway, we got there and the line was SUPER long!  The wait time was about 45 minutes!!!  There were so many people there!!!  I tried to get a pic of all the people... (that's why this picture is at an annoying angle... I was trying to get it all in in between the columns :))    Here's Aashini doing a jumping picture!!  The girls tried to do a jumping picture :) haha!  haha!  They had a few spills along the way :)  I never got them both jumping :)  Stuff for sale....  OK, one more because I think they are cute :) haha!  People waiting in line :) Some friends that made it inside! :)  We decided not to wait in line... So we'll

Funny Things - Age Appropriate?

Just wondering... but who thought that putting a HUGE Super scary picture right over the playground was a good idea??  hahahaha!!!  My kids were terrified! :) haha!
