Dusty! Dusty! Dusty!

It is super dusty this time a year! We live in a semi-arid part of the country (it's just one step away from desert climate). We usually only get rain 2 times a year, so as you can imagine it's dusty!! This is one of our little balconies. It was swept and mopped at about 8:00 am... this is what it looked like by 2:00 pm!!!
In just a matter of hours everything is covered in a blanket of red dust!
Which isn't the best when you have to hang your laundry to dry outside :) haha! I have to remember to bring them in as soon as their dry (this time of year is only 15-30 minutes most of the time!!) or else they'll be covered in dust too! This is what happens if I leave out the laundry for about an hour ... It's hard to see in the picture, but do you see that brown line on the shirt? That's where it was hanging over the bar and the dust collected!
I can just pick it up and shake it off and it's totally fine... just a bit dusty! haha! I'm so glad I'm not allergic to dust!!!

I don't miss that!
Wow! Crazy!! I noticed the shirt in the photo was right side out... not sure if you do them all like that, but on the equator we always hung them inside out so the color wouldn't fade so fast...but it might work to keep the dust lines on the inside of the shirt!?

Still though, what a cool life! I wonder how many dryers out there can dry a load in 15 minutes!?!?!

Sharon! Hey - I do try to turn them inside out if I can, but some days it's just a lot of extra work :) haha!

Very true about the dryer thing! and drying them outside is free!!!!

I didn't realize you guys had dust like that! We have it too. The wind is always a nice break from the heat, but you always know what the wind brings along with it . . . I always kind of wonder what it looks like in my lungs ???

Campa Cola & Exploring :)

Today we had some things to do in the Central part of our city, so while we were there, we decided to take on some adventures :) Adventure #1 - the underground market. This market is pretty crazy. It's actually underground and has electronics & clothes mostly. They sell things pretty cheap, so it's an interesting place to go. Today we got an 64 Gig flash drive/pen drive for about $5. Crazy hunh? Here's Adam and Aashini in one of the stores. They're all REALLY small stores - about 10x10 feet I would guess (but I'm really bad at guessing that sort of stuff :)) We go here a lot to get things, so I guess it's not a new adventure, but an adventure nonetheless. Before the next part of our adventure (the real part of our adventure) we stopped for lunch. Aashini will always eat at McDonalds, so that's where we went :) They just started selling chicken nuggets here at McDonalds, so it's super easy to get her to eat there :) This McDonald's had high chair

Starbucks!

Starbucks opened in our city last night!!  I'm not a huge coffee drinker... but I was excited about the opening!!  (I think I like Starbucks because of all the green! haha!... Aashini and Diya think the mermaid on the logo looks like me... haha! Maybe it's the weird wavy hair :)... not sure :) ) Anyway, we got there and the line was SUPER long!  The wait time was about 45 minutes!!!  There were so many people there!!!  I tried to get a pic of all the people... (that's why this picture is at an annoying angle... I was trying to get it all in in between the columns :))    Here's Aashini doing a jumping picture!!  The girls tried to do a jumping picture :) haha!  haha!  They had a few spills along the way :)  I never got them both jumping :)  Stuff for sale....  OK, one more because I think they are cute :) haha!  People waiting in line :) Some friends that made it inside! :)  We decided not to wait in line... So we'll
