Have you ever wondered how they clean the tent-like roofs at some places? The mall that is in our part of town has one of those roofs over half of it... you know, the ones that are kinda like a circus tent, but more permanent? Anyway, I always wondered how they clean those. I never really wondered how they did that in America... I mean, it rains there pretty often where I lived, so it never seemed dirty... BUT where we currently live it is SUPER dusty and only rains 2 times a year.... so cleaning is necessary. Anyway, the other day we went there for lunch after my Doc appointment, and we saw they were cleaning it. It actually looked really fun (and maybe a little scary)... They aren't hooked onto that rope or anything, just holding onto it while they clean! One guy slid down from the top like it was a big water slide! It was pretty crazy! Random, I know, but I thought it looked kinda fun :)

I drink water like a crazy person! (I drink normal amounts, I'm not sick, don't worry!). We're on the edge of hot season right now (about 105+ outside and 85-95 Inside), so we have to drink a lot of water :) I used to LOVE my Nalgene waterbottle until I started reading all that scary stuff about BPA ... and Nalgenes weren't BPA-free, so I abandonded my bottles :(. I tried a lot of new kinds... I got a Klean Kanteen metal bottle which was great, but metal bottles in the South Asian Heat... well, I'm not a fan of really hot water... Anyway, nothing really worked for me! Well, while looking online the other day I saw that they now make Nalgene waterbottles BPA-free, so I wanted to get one. Shipping overseas is a pain, so we were trying to figure out how to get it over here cheaper, when Adam saw that they made a lot of the bottles here. He tracked down the phone number and called their office. They said he could come by and buy some bottles :) So, Adam & Aashini...

The other night, Adam went out to play basketball and got an elbow to the eye which resulted in a black eye .... or a purple eyelid :) He kinda looks like he's wearing make-up :) Usually, in America when someone has a black eye, people ask what happened - but NOBODY has asked what has happened! People here (unless they're kids) don't do a lot of playing, so the only reason most adult men would have a black eye is from a fight... So, maybe they aren't asking because they think Adam got in a fight... or maybe they think I did that to him - haha!! I'm not sure why :) Anyway, here's his eye :)

Sorry I haven't been the best blogger lately :)  I haven't been feeling that great, so I haven't been out and about much lately... BUT here are a few things I've found funny lately :) I thought this wheel-chair was really creative! I was really impressed! This isn't that funny, but, well, I always like a good misspelling :) It's hard to see in this pic, but these guys were riding their motorcycle down the road with the top part of a toilet between them - I thought that was funny :) I was looking for kids clothes in the market the other day and found this shirt :)  And, as you know, I like misspellings :)  I think they mixed up the "D" and the "T" on this "Detty Bear" shirt :) That's all I have today :)  Enjoy!

We get lots of tips and advice here in South Asia. I can actually say that very few days go by that we don't get advice. During the winter time the number one thing we are told is not to drink cold water!! Here's an email forward (thanks Em!) that a friend sent me about the effects of Cold Water.... Meet Flat Abigail!  She came to visit us here in South Asia :)  (If you want to know more about    Flat Stanley   then click there!). We went to the old part of our city to see some fun things :)  We went to one of my favorite music stores in the Old City.  I got a Harmonium here for my birthday just before Aashini was born (to see it, click  HERE! ).   Here is Flat Abigail with the Harmoniums!   A Harmonium is kind of like a piano and accordion mixed.   It sounds a lot like a small organ. You play the piano part with your right hand, and pump the organ part with your left hand.   Flat Abigail had fun playing them!    Next, Flat Abigail found some drums.   They are called Tablas and you play them with your hands.   She had fun playing with them!
