After a ton of driving we made it to the Smokies for a couple of days in Gatlinburg before going to visit our Tennessee family. Here's Adam stretching after a long car ride :) While staying in Gatlinburg we went on a hike in Sugarlands in the Smokies. It was a short hike but the perfect length for the kids. There were signs about the different plants and trees at the begining of the hike and Aashini loved it - she "read" every sign! We could even bring the stroller on most of the trail - awesome :) (Diya is quite heavy!) Aashini's favorite part was playing in the creek. She fell in once and got wet and really had fun :) She even found a quarter in the creek (maybe from the last person that fell in - haha!). ...just a little wet :) This makes me laugh :) We walked around the strip in Gatlinburg (love that place :) haha!). On our last day we woke up a little earlier than normal, had breakfast and then got everything ready to head to the train station :) Right before we left, the mountain across from us was covered with mountain goats! It was cool! We had to rush to the train station and we thought we were going to miss our train, but we made it! During the train ride I took a few pictures out of the door (if you haven't ridden a train here before - you can totally open the doors in between cars and hang out and take pictures and whatever else you want to do!). Anyway, you get so see some fun things if you do that, so I took some pictures. I think this village looks really cool :) The lighting was pretty crazy in this picture - I thought it was really interesting. These guys wanted to cross the street but had to wait for our train to pass.... At one point we decided that it would be a good nap time. Diya was a little too excited to nap - haha! Our train stopped at the last stop before the Capital...

I just got back from an awesome retreat to the beach! We all traveled to the South West Coast of our country for some R&R and Fun! The city we went to is quite unique! I didn't get to see much of the city at all. We stayed at our hotel and it was out in the middle of nowhere - so we did some great relaxing! :) I wasn't expecting much of the beach, but it was really nice!! It was clean, the waves were fun and the weather was perfect! The beach was FULL of starfish! The beaches here are definitely different than Florida beaches :) In the pic below you can see guys that work in these little buildings. They sell snacks and drinks and they'll bring them to you at your seat on the beach! Awesome :) There are people selling things on the beach... selling and sometimes harassing you :) There are even people selling ice cream! :) One thing that is very different at the beaches here compared to Florida beaches .... Ahhh.... Vacation!! This year we went to Prachaubkrikhan! again and stayed at the same place we stayed at last year (Dolphin Bay). It's a great family friendly place and a lot of fun :) Here's Aashini all suited up and ready for her first day at the pool/beach. This picture is a little out of focus, but I still thought it was cute :) We found a inflatable ring that was just her size and she actually liked that better than her "swimmies" but she looks so cute in them :) haha! One night as the sun was going down, we tried to take a family picture or two... we weren't very successful :) haha! Oh well, here's one of the attempts :) The resort is cheap and really great. We stayed in a little bungalow that was right next to the pool and we were right on the beach. We ate outside for our meals and it was great!
