Signs! SiGnS! siGnS!

A friend and I were talking about how many funny signs we see on a daily basis. They make me laugh, so I thought I'd pass them along.

This is the Laptop and Notebook world! Does that look like a place where you would like to get your next computer? :)

The brand of this soap totally cracked me up!! Mysore soap?? Awesome!!

I don't know what "fancy cracker" is referring to, but this sign really made me laugh :) Is anyone getting married anytime soon?

And last but not least (for this post anyway), instructions for using an escalator. It is absolutely hilarious to watch people use escalator here. In the city we're living in, we have a new escalator and most people in our city have never used one before - Adam and I love to just sit and watch people try to use it. It's great entertainment. Some of it is very similar to the escalator scene in the movie ELF :)

Cooking!

Cooking is sooo much harder here. THis is how you "puree" vegetables when you don't have a blender or food processor (or power). Some people have those things, but most people don't. This is my friend Gita. She's mashing up some onions. It's a marble slab that's not polished and they use a big rounded rock and just roll/mash! It's cool!!

Protesting

There's some political stuff going on in our city (and now the country) right now. People are peacefully fighting against corruption. It's been very interesting to follow. Tonight there was some protesting in our neighborhood. Here are some more protesting pictures. There will probably be more protesting to come... we'll see what happens!

Funny Things 2 - American Fair Edition

We just got back from Roadtrip #8 in Macon, GA. It was an awesome trip!! So, before we head out on the next trip, we went to the North Florida Fair! The fair is always famous for it's fried foods... they fried everything!!... They had fried/breaded zucchini, Mushrooms, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Onions, green tomatoes, okra, pickles, etc :) I had a lot of it too - YUM! Now, I'd heard of fried Snickers & twinkies (which they had) but they also had FRIED OREOS & PEANUTBUTTER CUPS :) The fair was cool. They had a shark show and a sea lion show... but our favorite was the pig races :) haha!!! It was hilarious!! Aashini was close up to the race until the pigs came - then she crawled up into Adam's lap really fast :) (as seen below) :) Pig races! haha! Cracks me up!
