Florida Gators!

OK, so don't get me wrong by the title... I'm a super proud Florida State Grad and a big FSU fan... but this week here in Thailand, Tim Tebow is hanging out with us :) For those that don't know, he's the quarterback for University of Florida - he's a believer and a really awesome bold guy. So, since he's a Heisman winner (AND the only underclassman to ever win the Heisman) we thought we should get Aashini in a Heisman pose with him :) haha!

This post had me laughing out loud... and Shannon found it interesting too! While we love our Florida State friends, we'll always, always, always be Florida Gators! How fun that you have Aashini's picture with Tim Tebow! :)

Wow, I already loved Tebow even though I'm not a Gator fan at all. But that may be the coolest thing I've ever seen on a blog!! That guy is a legend. He did a medical mission trip during spring break in the Philippines and came back straight to spring football practice.

Hold on to that picture because you'll want Aashini to have it for a long time.

Man...you know I am a huge UT Vols fan...now I have to actually like Tebow...thanks a lot!!! just kidding cool pic!!!
Ooh, as a TN Vol, I can't like the Gators; however, I can say that picture totally ROCKS! I mean I can't even think of how happy I'd be to get a pic of Archie with Peyton Manning in that pose. Although we say that we call Archie after his great grandpa, Peyton's dad was named...yeah Archie.

Dude can play some ball, but Crocs? Come one man! Crocs are totally lame. go to http://ihatecrocsblog.blogspot.com/

I almost wanted to say that he should have the Heisman taken away for wearing those hideous things but he deserves it I guess.

Bah!

Not a Gator fan but you have to admire Teebow's talent. What's great about that photo is the baby is doing a stiffarm too, LOL!

I can't believe you got a picture this awesome! Seriously, we'll have to forgive you for not running to put Aashini in some garnet and gold before you snapped away, but what an awesome moment! She looks like she's totally copying him! Kinda looks like the one Adam took with her when she was so little too. How fun! You know, you could turn it to black and white to get rid of all that orange and blue! :-)

Cooking!

Cooking is sooo much harder here. THis is how you "puree" vegetables when you don't have a blender or food processor (or power). Some people have those things, but most people don't. This is my friend Gita. She's mashing up some onions. It's a marble slab that's not polished and they use a big rounded rock and just roll/mash! It's cool!!

Protesting

There's some political stuff going on in our city (and now the country) right now. People are peacefully fighting against corruption. It's been very interesting to follow. Tonight there was some protesting in our neighborhood. Here are some more protesting pictures. There will probably be more protesting to come... we'll see what happens!

Jaya's Engagement!

My good friend Jaya (Mayank's sister that lives in M-town) - just got engaged!  On Sunday, I took the trip to M-town to go to her Engagement Ceremony (or Ring Ceremony).  It was a lot of fun :)!   First Stop - Beauty Parlor!  We walked a little ways down the street to a lady's house.  The beauty parlor was in one of the rooms in her house.  Jaya had already been to her house that morning to get her hair done, but now it was time for the makeup.  This beauty parlor was interesting because it only had 2 light bulbs in the whole room (and they were the energy saver kind that were dimmer than the regular ones), so it wasn't that bright inside the room.   Here's a pic of Jaya in the chair getting her makeup done.   Notice that her hair is crimped.  They use the crimper on people's hair when it's a special occasion - awesome!!! They put a  bindi  on her head and then the lady painted more and made it super fancy. Here's the finished product (after 1.5 hours)!  She...
