Peacock!

When we went to Preeti's wedding a few weeks ago, I had to leave the wedding at one point because Diya was crying. When I was walking around with her we saw a ton of peacocks! There were at least 10!! They were all walking around on the top of the buildings. I think they were all females except this one male and he was showing off his feathers!
I've seen peacocks before, but I don't think I had ever seen a peacock from behind like this before! It looks cool!

Cool! When we would take our evening walks, we saw and heard a ton of peacocks, but they were always females so we never saw the pretty feathers like that. That's a cool picture!
Fun! When we went to the KL bird park they had peacocks in one section...I had never seen the back side either and at first thought it was some other type of bird. SOOO cool!

I didn't even read aloud what you said about the peacock but Shanti said the exact same thing about the back of the peacock: "It looks cool." :)

Funny Things 2 - American Fair Edition

We just got back from Roadtrip #8 in Macon, GA. It was an awesome trip!! So, before we head out on the next trip, we went to the North Florida Fair! The fair is always famous for it's fried foods... they fried everything!!... They had fried/breaded zucchini, Mushrooms, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Onions, green tomatoes, okra, pickles, etc :) I had a lot of it too - YUM! Now, I'd heard of fried Snickers & twinkies (which they had) but they also had FRIED OREOS & PEANUTBUTTER CUPS :) The fair was cool. They had a shark show and a sea lion show... but our favorite was the pig races :) haha!!! It was hilarious!! Aashini was close up to the race until the pigs came - then she crawled up into Adam's lap really fast :) (as seen below) :) Pig races! haha! Cracks me up!

Protesting

There's some political stuff going on in our city (and now the country) right now. People are peacefully fighting against corruption. It's been very interesting to follow. Tonight there was some protesting in our neighborhood. Here are some more protesting pictures. There will probably be more protesting to come... we'll see what happens!

Cooking!

Cooking is sooo much harder here. THis is how you "puree" vegetables when you don't have a blender or food processor (or power). Some people have those things, but most people don't. This is my friend Gita. She's mashing up some onions. It's a marble slab that's not polished and they use a big rounded rock and just roll/mash! It's cool!!
