Water Park Fun!

Last week we went with our friends to a local water park to have fun together and to beat the heat :)  It was a lot of fun :)
This park was really fun.  I knew of a couple in this area, but didn't know about this one.  There were a lot of slides and it was fun! :)
I took Aashini down one of the slides and she was really mad at me because I let her face get in the water :)
Adam and Vijay going down a slide together :)
Diya and Vijay :)  This picture cracks me up :)
This one too :) haha!
This is the "kiddie" area of the park... it had 3 slides and was really fun :)
We stopped halfway through and had some lunch :)
We had a great view of the "Rain Dance" from our lunch table :)
Eating Lunch :)
They had extra entertainment there :)  There was a mime that was running around the park :)  Diya thought he was hilarious! :)
Something different than America... In America what we call "Swimsuits", they call "Swimming Costumes" here (the British and the Australians do too!)... Also, since most people don't own Swimming Costumes, so you can rent them here!  How cool!  Here is where you get your costume :)
Me and the girls in the pool :)  Diya was a little daredevil... she just walked all around in the water that was up to her chin!  She wasn't afraid at all.  Aashini liked to hang out by the stairs :)
Vijay and Prince :)
The clown that was running around taking pictures with people :)  Diya loved him too :)  He wasn't much taller than her and she LOVED that! :)
After we had done all the swimming we wanted to do, we got dressed and got some snacks :)
Then we went on the "Carnival" rides :)  (you couldn't wear your swimsuit and go on these)...
Here we are riding on a big fish that went on a track going around the park :)
With my "dizziness issues" I chose to avoid this ride... you can see by their faces that it was good choice :) haha! :)
It was a super fun day hanging out with friends :)

This looks so fun and you look so happy and cute! :) I'm curious if you put some kind of water proof covering over your camera?

Comic Con 2013

Comic Con 2013 just ended.  It was a fun one this year.  This was the 3rd Annual Comic Con here.  We've been to it all 3 years.  It's getting bigger each year!  I think they grew out of their venue this year...it was soooo crowded!  Here's me imitating "Superkudi" :)  Aashini and me :)  For the Love of Comics...  Some guys that were dressed up... the guy on the left isn't in his full attire... He won the CosPlay contest that day... he won a trip to Dubai to their Comic Con!!  This was my favorite costume of the day... Nyan Cat :)  There were lots of people there!  Me and the girls on the 2nd day :)  I had to have at least one jumping picture :) Our friend Ford made a video of the first day... check it out!

MasterChef Australia!!!

MasterChef Australia is a great show!  When it's on, we get it 5 days a week.  There are TONS of episodes.  The thing that makes it really cool is that the judges and contestants are all so nice!  The contestants don't stab each other in the back and they even help each other!   Anyway, the other night (a couple of weeks ago) some friends of ours were in town and wanted to go to Chili's, so we went over to the mall to eat :)  When we got there we saw that the bookstore had the Judges (and very famous chefs/restaurant owners) inside signing cookbooks!    When we got inside, they had just closed off the line, so we weren't allowed to go through the line and get them to sign a cookbook or get a pic with them :(    So... we stood as close as we could and took pics :) haha!  (and I didn't have my camera, only my phone to take pics)... Here's Gary...    Here's George with my friend Amy :)  And my at...

Cooking!

Cooking is sooo much harder here. THis is how you "puree" vegetables when you don't have a blender or food processor (or power). Some people have those things, but most people don't. This is my friend Gita. She's mashing up some onions. It's a marble slab that's not polished and they use a big rounded rock and just roll/mash! It's cool!!
