We're Having a BABY!

Yup, that's right! We're having a baby! We're due December 16th! I'm on bedrest right now, so it's not very fun, but hopefully in a couple of weeks I'll be off of it :) If you're just finding out for the first time that we're having a baby, that means that we don't have your email address, so PLEASE send it to us so that we can keep better in touch with you!!

We started a new "baby blog"... so we'll have a blog with baby stuff and this blog will stay the same :) Check it out!!!

Love the new blog look (although I'm sure some out there will be disappointed that it's no longer Garnet&Gold) We're adding the BabyShef blog to our RSS...can't wait to see belly pictures and sonograms! Speaking of belly pictures...how do you wear a Saree when your belly pokes out?

I thought Andrea was having the baby, not Adam. The new look is a surprise, both Adam and the blog. Enjoy each day as it comes, they pass swiftly.

Cooking!

Cooking is sooo much harder here. THis is how you "puree" vegetables when you don't have a blender or food processor (or power). Some people have those things, but most people don't. This is my friend Gita. She's mashing up some onions. It's a marble slab that's not polished and they use a big rounded rock and just roll/mash! It's cool!!

Protesting

There's some political stuff going on in our city (and now the country) right now. People are peacefully fighting against corruption. It's been very interesting to follow. Tonight there was some protesting in our neighborhood. Here are some more protesting pictures. There will probably be more protesting to come... we'll see what happens!

Funny Things 2 - American Fair Edition

We just got back from Roadtrip #8 in Macon, GA. It was an awesome trip!! So, before we head out on the next trip, we went to the North Florida Fair! The fair is always famous for it's fried foods... they fried everything!!... They had fried/breaded zucchini, Mushrooms, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Onions, green tomatoes, okra, pickles, etc :) I had a lot of it too - YUM! Now, I'd heard of fried Snickers & twinkies (which they had) but they also had FRIED OREOS & PEANUTBUTTER CUPS :) The fair was cool. They had a shark show and a sea lion show... but our favorite was the pig races :) haha!!! It was hilarious!! Aashini was close up to the race until the pigs came - then she crawled up into Adam's lap really fast :) (as seen below) :) Pig races! haha! Cracks me up!
