OK, so on the 4th of July, when we had that big fun party in Thailand and got to swim and play all day... Adam got to do his favorite thing - play Basketball... During his first game of basketball, Adam 'jammed' his finger pretty badly... of course, he then went on to play 5 more games (he'd been waiting for the 4th of July basketball games since the last 4th of July and he wasn't going to let his finger get in the way :) So, it's been 3 weeks and his finger just didn't look right, it still hurt, and it just didn't bend or work right anymore... so we went to the doc... This is what Adam's finger looked like: So the doctor said that Adam has "mallet finger"... and sometimes know as "baseball finger"... so Adam likes to call it that - it sounds cooler :) Here's what it looks like (below).... his bone is broken and the ligament isn't attached to the top of his finger anymore... so... in order to fix it they have to put a pin i...

So, in keeping with tradition..... Every time we've been to Thailand, we've gotten one of these photo booth pics... They're really fun! We look SUPER white in this batch (they adjust the colors so that everyone looks really white and glamorous... but when white people get in there - we just look scary!!). OK, so for the second half of our vacation we took a flight from Penang to Kuala Lumpur (KL). When we got to the airport we were met by our cool friends A&S! That was a fun surprise. They picked us up and we spent the day together. They showed us all around KL and took us to some really cool places :) Our friends took us to this cool m0sque called the Blue M0sque. It was really neat looking and very clean. I had fun taking pictures inside of it. That afternoon we went together to the awesome huge IKEA store. It was super HUGE - like 3 or 4 stories! We had fun running around and looking at things. We bought some cool ice trays that make the ice in cool shapes - one was in puzzle piece shapes :) We also bought a couple things for the baby :) and then we had some ice cream (yes, the IKEA store sold ice cream... but I think Wal-Mart does too, so I guess it's not that impressive, but it sure was nice!) Later that night A&S took us to a really cool Firefly colony! This was total...

This is the first half of our vacation. We went to Penang, Malaysia. It's on the Northwest coast of the Western half of Malaysia (does that sound confusing)... I don't know if you can see it on this map - it's kinda small, but you can maybe see where it says George Town... that's the city we first stayed in while in Panang. The pic below is of George Town. It's an old city that the British used to inhabit. As with pretty much all of Malaysia the population is made up of Malay people, Chinese, and Indian. It's really interesting to see all the cultures mixed together. They have cycle rickshaws that are different from the ones we had in M-town. They are called Tri-shaws and the driver sits on the back and pedals and the passenger is in the front... so we go head-first into on-coming traffic! haha! That was pretty fun! One night, our Tri-shaw driver had to go and make change at the 7-Eleven (I love those!!!) and so Adam hopped on the back of it for a picture :) I...

We're back from our Malaysian vacation! It was great! We're here in Bangkok for the next couple of days to chill before heading back to SouthAsiaLand :) I'll post pics soon :) Until then, here are a couple of pics from our trip :)

Yesterday we spent the day in Bangkok :) We had fun going to the electronics malls, OUTBACK, Santa's Hamburgers (kinda like Wendy's) and just hanging out with friends :) So Adam broke down and told me where our secret vacation destination is :) The planner in me (and maybe a little of the pregnant woman in me) was freaking out a little bit :) so he told me :) OK... so the secret vacation destination is....... MALAYSIA!! Whoo hoo!!!! Keep watching for updates :)

For our Secret Vacation that Adam is taking me on (we leave July 9th) Adam got me a cool case for one of our cameras so that we can take it under water!!!! He gave it to me today so that I could play with it at our big cool 4th of July party :) I had a lot of fun being able to bring my camera with me in the pool :) We had a big BBQ and swam in a pool the size of a lake! and Adam got to play basketball!! :) After Adam played, a bunch of kids talked him into being their "driver" :) We had a lot of fun :) We did take a belly pic at the pool too... to check it out, go to the baby blog :) ( http://www.SouthAsiaShefs.blogspot.com ) You guys ROCK!
