HaPpY MoThEr's DaY!!

Adam loves making me construction paper cards :) He started a tradition last year of making a Mother's Day card for me every year... here's last year's card (you can see our little Jellybean in the picture):And here's this year's card! It's so fun! It's us hanging out in the pool (which I'm hoping to do today if it stops raining - which I'm not complaining about - I LOVE rain and we aren't supposed to have rain until August - so it's great to cool things down!)... Anyway...
HERE'S THE CARD!!!

Those are really really cool! I love it that he put you in a swim costume with a cap! haha! I was wondering if he was going to make another one this year..way to go, Adam! Happy Mother's Day! (or HMD! :)

Funny Things 2 - American Fair Edition

We just got back from Roadtrip #8 in Macon, GA. It was an awesome trip!! So, before we head out on the next trip, we went to the North Florida Fair! The fair is always famous for it's fried foods... they fried everything!!... They had fried/breaded zucchini, Mushrooms, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Onions, green tomatoes, okra, pickles, etc :) I had a lot of it too - YUM! Now, I'd heard of fried Snickers & twinkies (which they had) but they also had FRIED OREOS & PEANUTBUTTER CUPS :) The fair was cool. They had a shark show and a sea lion show... but our favorite was the pig races :) haha!!! It was hilarious!! Aashini was close up to the race until the pigs came - then she crawled up into Adam's lap really fast :) (as seen below) :) Pig races! haha! Cracks me up!

Cooking!

Cooking is sooo much harder here. THis is how you "puree" vegetables when you don't have a blender or food processor (or power). Some people have those things, but most people don't. This is my friend Gita. She's mashing up some onions. It's a marble slab that's not polished and they use a big rounded rock and just roll/mash! It's cool!!

Protesting

There's some political stuff going on in our city (and now the country) right now. People are peacefully fighting against corruption. It's been very interesting to follow. Tonight there was some protesting in our neighborhood. Here are some more protesting pictures. There will probably be more protesting to come... we'll see what happens!
