Jet Laggin?

So, some girls are in town to 'hang' with us for a while :) So what do you do when a bunch of girls come in to town?... well, you do some clothes shopping, nose piercing and bangle shopping! This is my FAVORITE bangle shop! It's AWESOME!
Look how cool they are!!!! Anyway, we tired them out all day yesterday shopping and all day today doing other things... that's the best way to get over jet lag... just hit the ground running and don't stop until bed time :) It works pretty well, but it can also make everyone a little loopy...
So here's a jet lag picture :) haha! So, a closet full of really funny South Asian Clothes + no sleep = funny pictures :)
I seriously have over a hundred pictures... it was very funny :)

You guys are a riot. Our friend Sandy came back from an egypt cruise and she brought back all kinds of head beads, scarves, wraps, etc. It was sooo much fun to dress up and put everything on, we had ronnie, Mitch and everybody in full garb, too bad nobody had a camera. Glad you took pix, they're hilarious! lovegg

Cooking!

Cooking is sooo much harder here. THis is how you "puree" vegetables when you don't have a blender or food processor (or power). Some people have those things, but most people don't. This is my friend Gita. She's mashing up some onions. It's a marble slab that's not polished and they use a big rounded rock and just roll/mash! It's cool!!

Protesting

There's some political stuff going on in our city (and now the country) right now. People are peacefully fighting against corruption. It's been very interesting to follow. Tonight there was some protesting in our neighborhood. Here are some more protesting pictures. There will probably be more protesting to come... we'll see what happens!

In Thailand!

We flew to Bangkok, Thailand today! The flight went well :) Aashini cried a little, but did awesome! We got the bulkhead seat and they even had an extra seat next to us! Aashini really only set in it for a pic or two, but it was fun anyway :) You can see the Buddhist monk in red behind Aashini. The guy that set next to us was a Monk also, he was actually the translator for the Dalai Lama ! Cool hunh? It was funny because he was typing on his laptop the whole flight (and Aashini was grabbing at his robe - haha!) This picture below cracked me up so I had to post it :) When we got here we had to go get a few things at the grocery store :) Aashini went to her first grocery store in the Middle East, but this was her first time getting to ride in a cart!!! She LOVED it!! She was swining her legs, babbling up a storm and looking at everything! Thai people LOVE babies!!! She got a lot of attention today! I have a feeling she's going to get a lot of attention the next coupl...
